What to Expect From One Punch Man Season 3

One Punch Man, a web-comic started in 2009 by creator ONE,  took the world by storm as not only the otakus were on it but also the non-anime community loved the series when it aired. The first season of the series, adapted from a manga of the same name created by the well-known mangaka Yusuke Murata, was released in 2012, and it exceeded everyone’s expectations by a considerable margin. Not only the animation was amazing but also the pacing, fight sequence, and SFX was on point the whole season. Well, it was expected as it was produced by MadHouse which is known for their fantastic quality in animation.

Considering the success of the first season, the second season’s expectations were high, but fans were taken aback to know that MadHouse dropped the OPM series only to be picked by JC staff. While JC staff is no child at anime production, but they were no match for the masterpiece that was the first season.  Seeing as the fantastic storytelling of ONE only saved the second season, everyone expects season 3 to be taken up by a different studio.

So here is everything you should expect from the third season of the anime

First of all, there is confirmation from the official Twitter account that the third season is being planned, but to the fans’ disappointments, there is no official release date that can be expected in the near future. The fans who waited for four years between season one and two were more than disappointed in the matter. However, the considerable gap between the first two seasons was most likely because of anime haul and change in the studio. This time around, the third season can be expected in the latter half of 2020 or early 2021 if we speak realistically.

However seeing as the fans are pressurizing the series to be produced by a different studio, the gap can increase even more. Many petitions are being created online by fans for there to be a change in the studio for the third season. If the studios are switched again, then this could mean that the third season will be pushed back up to 2022 most likely. While some fans may not like it, but the section who wants to watch amazing animation can wait for it. Many fans also decided to switch to manga and even the webcomic as they could not afford to wait another couple of years for a handful of episodes.
