How to Troubleshoot iPad is Not Connecting to iTunes Issue

Already running on an issue, to troubleshoot it connected your iPad to iTunes for installing updates but now iPad is also not connecting to iTunes? This could be very irritating. iTunes is essential for an iOS device to manage media, taking a backup, syncing iPad, and installing updates. From iTunes, you can do this all easily and quickly. If your iPad is unable to connect or access iTunes, then here are some effective troubleshooting solution, try them.

1.    Check the cable and connection

2.    Check whether the computer recognizes your iPad

3.    Check the battery level

4.    Reboot your iPad and computer

5.    Reinstall the iTunes app

Check the cable and connection

It’s correct to begin from the connection, as sometimes the problem is small. Maybe the cable is unplugged or damaged that cause your iPad fails to connect to the iTunes. Check whether the cord is inserted correctly into the jack of your iPad and USB port of the computer. If the connection and cable are perfect, then use a different USB port. If inserting the cable into a different port resolve the issue, then the port is corrupted. You can confirm this by connecting another device with that port.

Check whether the computer recognizes your iPad

Even after checking the cable and connection, the iPad fails to connect to iTunes, then check whether the computer recognizes the connected iPad. You can check it by seeing the charging light on your iPad. When a device is connected to the computer, it starts charging. You can check if your iPad is charging; this also defines that the computer is recognizing your iPad. If the light doesn’t appear or your iPad is not charging, then there is some problem in USB port or cable, try changing them.

Check the battery level

Although the iPad starts charging when you connect it to the computer. But, if the battery level is too low (below 10%), then it can also cause problems. If the iPad is connected to the Mac or PC, disconnect it and see the battery level. If the battery percentage is below 10%, then charge the iPad with its own charger and let it charge completely.

When it charges completely, plug it back to the computer and check if it connects to the iTunes. Still unable to access iTunes, proceed to next solution.

Reboot your iPad and computer

One of the oldest and effective troubleshooting tricks. Try performing the restarting process manually, rather than using normal restart. Shutdown the machine and allow it to power down completely. Wait for at least a minute and power back it on. While the computer is booting, go ahead and perform the same process on your iPad. When both the devices boots up, connect the iPad to the computer. Double click on the iTunes app and check your iPad’s name is displaying there. If the iPad is showing there, it means the connecting issue has been resolved.

Reinstall the iTunes app

If doing all this fails to connect iPad to iTunes, possibly there is the problem in the application. Try using a new updated iTunes app. Uninstall the installed iTunes app from your computer. On Windows PC, you can uninstall the program from Control Panel. Once the app has been removed, visit the app store and download the latest version or iTunes.

After reinstalling iTunes, your iPad should be able to connect or access iTunes. These solutions usually troubleshoot iPad is not connecting to iTunes issue.
